CLICK HERE TO START (1st time visitors)

Hi everyone & thanks for stopping by to see us.

This is where you start out...
Since this is a BLOG and not a regular website, the set up is a little different.       Here is how you navigate...

Once you've read through this page, then proceed onto the next one down on the list.

My entries are all under August, 2011 and I have set them up as a "story."  Each entry will have a title that should help you follow along.

I'm hoping that you will become a "FOLLOWER" and get updates via email when I make an entry.
There isn't spam mail associated with this blog spot, as I've been a follower on another blog & never received anything from them.

OH...and I would love to read your comments, so PLEASE feel free!

Thanks very much and I hope you enjoy your visit!

Since I (Bev Armstrong) love to write, AND share pictures, this will be right up my alley.

Let me give you a little history about myself & this gorgeous German Shepherd, Megan....

My first purebred dog (in my adult life) was a Cairn Terrier in 1972. Toto on the Wizard of Oz was a Cairn Terrier.  They are fun little dogs BUT are everything terriers should be!

I showed & occasionally bred Cairns for 22 years.
I know, what a difference in breeds, huh?!

I'm dating myself when I say I fell in love with Rin Tin Tin.  If you have no idea who I'm talking about, that's ok.
I got my first GSD (German Shepherd Dog) back in 1992.  I had always loved the breed, but just admired them "from afar" because I never really knew any good breeders.  Her name was Clayfield Raphael von Zinne (aka "Raffie) and she was the BEST.  Or at least I thought so at the time :)  But I could be a tad biased, you understand.

Long story shorter...many years later I still had "Ria" (a pup from Raffie) The picture below is Ria at 11 years YOUNG!
Ria was 13 when I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.
Sadly, the DAY AFTER my surgery, I had to put Ria down.
Talk about traumatic  :(  I still miss her and her big ol' brother, Chopper.

At this point, I had Maya living with me.  She is my daughter's dog, but spent a great deal of time here at "Camp Gwamma's" because she loved playing with Ria.  Maya is a darling rescue mutt who just couldn't be any better doggie!  I don't think my daughter had the heart to take Maya home & leave me "dogless."

I wuv you Gwamma

After several months of chemo treatments & all the lovely side effects that go along with it, my friend Naomi had a very nice litter of German Shepherd puppies.  I guess she knew that I'd be the perfect home for one of her little charges!  What better way to perk up my spirits than a puppy?!

It had been so long since I had a pupper around...
and Maya told me she wanted a puppy for Christmas....

ENTER  Seven Hills Mega Million, aka  MEGAN

It was love at first sight of course.  This is my favorite German Shepherd pose!
She was 8 weeks old here.

Maya was very happy with her new puppy friend.
They were BFFs from the beginning!

Of course, I have lots of puppy pictures to share with you.  Sorry if I don't have them in order.

11.5 weeks old
This is one of my favorite pictures of her.
My friend Neal said she was signaling to turn!
Those ears went up early and never flopped down.
15 Weeks old
She was really a beautiful little girl

I really think she needed more socialization, doncha' think? To this day,she worships the ground Matt walks on.

OMG isn't that just the sweetest?!!

Another AAAWWW!
Curled up with her little lambie toy & sleeping on another.

She didn't sleep ALL the time

She loves the snow
